Spirakris Zarem Because your order would never agree to an alliance with the Empire, and that's what the Senator wants. And Parvil actually believes he's trying to save the Republic. Meteor Seems like everybody's jumping ship these days. Spirakris Zarem No doubt. First it was just some fringe star systems, but now it's happening a lot closer to home. Voidhound Can't say I'd want to worry about Imperial law enforcement.... Spirakris Zarem No. I imagine not, Captain. So I hope you can help. If the Senator gets his way, it would mean the end of everything the Republic stands for. My colleagues discovered a way to expose Parvil's plan to the public; turn the political tide against this insanity. But our one shot's about to pass us by. Parvil's put us all on Senate security's watch list. We can't even get near the tower. Meteor You said "your one shot." You have an idea.... Spirakris Zarem You mean you might actually be willing to help us? A diplomatic parcel is being delivered to Senator Parvil's office. You deserve a medal for this, you know. Rest easy knowing Senator Parvil's motion will never pass. Meteor That was a one-time deal. Summary

	This event took place shortly before the end of the Cold War The Cold War Event Cold War (3653BBY - 3642BBY) . As the Cold War dragged on, some members of the Galactic Senate Republic Senate Organization Galactic Republic grew weary of the stalemate. While milling around the Senate Plaza's taxi pad, Spirakris Zarem Spirakris Zarem (Human) Character Minor Characters (TOR) discovered a plot by Senator Glearius Parvil Glearius Parvil Character Minor Characters (TOR) to introduce legislation that would break the Republic's ties with the Jedi Order Jedi Order Organization Galaxy-Wide Organizations and instead offer alliance to the Sith Empire. In order to prevent this, Zarem - who was a member of a movement known as the True Republic - asked a group of Republic operatives Republic Operatives Organization Temporary Unions to enter the Senate Tower, sabotage the Senator's courier droid, and steal a particular parcel that would serve as evidence against him. Because she was on Senate Security's watch list, she could not enter the building herself. Upon trying to steal the parcel the operatives were caught by a Senate page who did not approve their actions against the Republic's regulations - and who was secretly a supporter of the Sith Empire and hoped for the senator's plan to succeed. He demanded that the operatives return the parcel of outdated agricultural documents in exchange for a fake parcel to lead the True Republic movement astray and maintain the democracy of the Republic. The operatives delivered a parcel of documents to Zarem afterwards.	See also The Cold War
